Did you know that mostly older people benefited from the 1990's run-up in wealth?

Federal Reserve Board researcher Karen Pence wanted to know which groups had benefitted most from the 1990's run-up in wealth. She discovered that 1) older households had the largest gains 2) A 65-yr old in 2001 was $100,000 wealthier (median) than a 65-yr old in 1989. and 3) A 35-yr old in 2001 was no richer than her 1989 counterpart.
